Our Health & Safety Instructors and Consultants are fully qualified in providing you with concise and easily applicable solutions to your workplace safety concerns and training needs. When meeting with you, they will take the time to understand your working environment and the issues you face before recommending a course of action and providing you with customized solutions. Since 2003, LaborTek instructors have trained over 50,000 people working in all streams of industries and the provincial and federal governments. They constantly keep up-to-date with changes and new requirements in the health and safety landscape and readilly share with learners any new piece of legislation which is about to be enforced.

Daniel Duquette
Head Safety Trainer
Daniel’s experience is vast and varied. He worked on a farm, on construction sites, on an assembly line, in a lumber yard. In the early 80s he was introduced to the great world of transportation where he worked for 15 years in Management, Operations and Training. In 2003 he joined LaborTek as Safety Trainer, willingly sharing his vast experience of the construction, transportation and other industries he worked at. He was later promoted to Head Safety Trainer and is now in charge of LaborTek Safety Training & Consulting. Daniel provides training in English and French.

Brian Funk
Certified Health and Safety Consultant
After sitting on numerous Health and Safety Committees, Brian realized that safety at work is what interests him most. He enrolled at Algonquin College in the field of Occupational Safety and Health and graduated with Honors in 2005. He later received his designation - Certified Health & Safety Consultant - through the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering in October 2009. Brian is very passionate about safety. He believes that the definition of fulfillment is when a life can be saved or an injury prevented.

Jonathan Cyr
Training Coordinator
Jonathan Cyr is a certified First Aid & CPR, and WHMIS Instructor. He joined LaborTek in 2007 and is in charge of coordinating training courses and teaching the Basics of Fall Protection and First Aid & CPR in French.
