Course details and objectives


The key to understanding and practicing responsible safety is knowing the basic requirements laid out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act and specific industry regulations. This course provides workers with the knowledge of health and safety regulations in the workplace.

Course outline:

1. Understand the responsibilities of employers, supervisors, and workers.

2. Understand the role of the Health and Safety Representative and how a Joint Health and Safety Committee works.

3. Explain the fines and penalties for being noncompliant.

4. Explain due diligence.
