The objective of this request for Temp Help is to provide the Mainland Southern Asia Program, CIDA, with the services of a program assistant (advanced level) to perform the following tasks:
- Manage financial date and transactions using SAP
- Prepare small contracts and contract amendments
- Draft financial documents
- Conduct procedures for the formal closure of terminated Mainland Southern Asia Program and other projects including in SAP
- Perform accounts verification to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations
- Analyse and verify financial information in order to produce SAP reports
- Work with project officers and program management to accurately forecast project financial needs and ensure financial resources are available to meet them.
2-Estimated level of effort
The Program Administration Assistant will work a maximum of 3 days a week, total of 60 days, over a period of up to 20 weeks.
Language proficiency
- Bilingual
Experience
- 5 to 10 years CIDA experience managing financial data and transactions using SAP
- 5 to 10 years experience in budget forecasting, monitoring and reporting
- Experience in preparation of small contracts
- Experience in contract administration
- Experience in drafting financial documents
- Experience in closing CIDA projects including in SAP
Knowledge
- Knowledge of CIDA’s financial management system (SAP)
- Knowledge of government contracting procedures
- Knowledge of practices and procedures surrounding financial management of CIDA projects under contracts, grants and/or contribution agreements
Abilities
- Ability to interpret financial legislation and regulations
- Ability to perform accounts verification to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Ability to analyse and validate financial information in order to produce SAP reports
