The objective of this request for Temp Help is to provide the Mainland Southern Asia Program, CIDA, with the services of a program assistant (advanced level) to perform the following tasks:

  • Manage financial date and transactions using SAP
  • Prepare small contracts and contract amendments
  • Draft financial documents
  • Conduct procedures for the formal closure of terminated Mainland Southern Asia Program and other projects including in SAP
  • Perform accounts verification to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations
  • Analyse and verify financial information in order to produce SAP reports
  • Work with project officers and program management to accurately forecast project financial needs and ensure financial resources are available to meet them.

2-Estimated level of effort

The Program Administration Assistant will work a maximum of 3 days a week, total of 60 days, over a period of up to 20 weeks.

Language proficiency

  • Bilingual

Experience

  • 5 to 10 years CIDA experience managing financial data and transactions using SAP
  • 5 to 10 years experience in budget forecasting, monitoring and reporting
  • Experience in preparation of small contracts
  • Experience in contract administration
  • Experience in drafting financial documents
  • Experience in closing CIDA projects including in SAP

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of CIDA’s financial management system (SAP)
  • Knowledge of government contracting procedures
  • Knowledge of practices and procedures surrounding financial management of CIDA projects under contracts, grants and/or contribution agreements

Abilities

  • Ability to interpret financial legislation and regulations
  • Ability to perform accounts verification to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Ability to analyse and validate financial information in order to produce SAP reports
  • Ability to make recommendations
